QST Office: Terms of Use

These terms apply to the QST Office app for Android ("QST Office", "the app"), published by QubitSofTech ("we", "us"). By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Licence to use the app

We give you a free, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use QST Office for personal and business purposes on any device you control, for as long as you follow these terms.

You keep every right in the documents you create or open, and we claim none of them. You are responsible for having the right to open, edit and share them. Because the app runs entirely on your device, we never see your files and cannot recover them for you.

4. Lawful use, and your responsibility for what you produce: read this section

QST Office is a tool for writing and editing documents, in the way a pen or a word processor is, and what you do with it is your decision and your responsibility.

You must not use QST Office to forge, falsify, tamper with or alter any document unlawfully or in order to deceive anyone. That includes, without limitation, identity documents, passports, licences, certificates, degrees or mark sheets, contracts, invoices, receipts, bank statements, pay slips, tickets, prescriptions, medical records, court papers, government forms or any other official, financial, legal or evidentiary record; creating a document that claims to be issued by someone who did not issue it; or presenting an edited document as an unaltered original. You must not use the app to infringe copyright, remove a copyright notice, watermark or security feature, or break any other law where you live or where the document will be used.

You are solely responsible for every document you create, change, save or share with QST Office, for how it is used, and for every consequence, civil or criminal. We never see your documents, cannot know what you use the app for, do not review or approve anything you produce, and accept no responsibility or liability for it or for any claim, loss, damage, penalty, investigation or proceeding arising from it. If you breach this section, your licence ends immediately, and you agree to indemnify QubitSofTech and its people against any resulting claim, cost or loss, including legal fees.

5. Signatures and legal effect

Drawing or inserting a signature in QST Office does not create a certified digital signature, and nothing in the app certifies who made a change or when. Do not rely on a document edited in QST Office as proof of signing where a certified digital signature is required.

6. Age requirement

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age for digital services where you live, to use QST Office. If you are under 18, use it with the permission of a parent or guardian.

7. Reward points, editing time and advertising

Reading the app's screens, settings and legal pages is always free. Creating, opening and editing files and using the tools needs editing time: 10 reward points give 30 minutes, and buying again while time is running extends it. New users receive a one-time joining bonus of 20 points. Watching an optional video advertisement to its end, by your own choice, earns 10 points, up to 5 videos in each 30-minute period; a video closed early earns nothing.

If you are online and want to watch, but no video can be delivered, the app may offer a short free pass (currently 15 minutes, at most twice in 24 hours). Free passes are a goodwill gesture and may change or stop.

Points and editing time have no monetary value, cannot be bought, sold, transferred or exchanged for money, are not refundable, are stored only on your device, and are lost if you uninstall the app or clear its data. We may change how many points things cost or earn in an app update.

Ads are supplied by Google and we do not choose their content. Please click an ad only if it genuinely interests you. Repeated, automated or deliberate clicks without interest are invalid traffic; the app may pause ads, and the videos that earn points, on a device that shows that pattern.

8. Accuracy, and what the app cannot do

Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF files made by other software may use features QST Office does not support. A file may not open, may look different, or may lose some formatting when converted or saved. Spreadsheet formulas, templates (including invoice and GST templates) and tools are provided for convenience; check important figures and documents yourself before you rely on them.

9. Your data and your content

How the app handles information is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

10. Intellectual property

The app, its design, code, templates and branding are owned by QubitSofTech and protected by law. You may use the built-in templates freely in your own documents, for personal or business purposes, but you may not sell or publish the templates themselves as a collection. Bundled fonts are used under the licences listed in the app (Settings → Fonts and licences).

11. Third-party services

Advertising is provided by Google AdMob under Google's terms and policies. Apps you share documents with, and websites opened from links, are governed by their own terms.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

QST Office is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Keep your own copies of anything important.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, QubitSofTech is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, earnings or business, arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits a right you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.

14. Updates, changes and availability

We may update, change or stop offering the app or any feature. If these terms change, we will publish the new version here and ship it in the app update that changes them, with the dates at the top updated. Continuing to use the app after an update means accepting the terms it came with.

15. Export control and sanctions

You must comply with all export-control and sanctions laws that apply to you. Advertising, and therefore earning points by video, is not offered in some regions.

16. Governing law and where disputes are heard

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts at East Champaran, Bihar, India, where QubitSofTech is registered, have jurisdiction over disputes arising from them.

17. General

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours to a successor.
