QST Office: Privacy Policy
Effective date: 10 October 2026 · Last updated: 18 October 2026
This policy explains what the QST Office app for Android ("QST Office", "the app") does with information. QST Office is published by QubitSofTech ("we", "us"). If anything here is unclear, write to admin@qubitsoftech.com.
1. The short version
QST Office does not collect, upload or share your documents. Everything you create, open, edit, convert or scan is handled on your device. There is no account and no sign-in. The only part of the app that uses the internet is advertising supplied by Google AdMob, and it never sees your documents.
2. Information we collect
We, QubitSofTech, do not collect any personal information through the app. We receive no usage statistics, diagnostics, crash reports, location or contact details. The app contains no analytics service and no crash-reporting service. If you email us, we receive what you choose to send (see section 10).
3. Your documents
Documents, spreadsheets, presentations and PDFs are created, edited and saved in the app's private storage on your device. Opening Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF files, converting between formats, exporting PDFs, and every tool (photo and signature resizing, PDF compression, document scanning) run on your phone. The app does not read, index or copy your files for any purpose other than showing them to you and making the changes you ask for.
A document leaves QST Office only when you share or export it. Share hands a copy to the app you choose; Export saves a copy where you choose. What happens after that is covered by that app's or service's own privacy policy.
4. Information stored on your device
- Your documents, in the app's private storage.
- A recovery copy of unsaved changes, so your work survives a crash. It is offered back to you on Home and removed when you restore or discard it.
- Your settings (for example the theme).
- Your reward points and remaining editing time.
- Your activity: per-day counts for the last 14 days (files worked on, editing minutes, tools used), shown to you in Settings → Your activity. Numbers only, never file names or contents; you can clear them at any time.
- Ad-safety counters: the times of recent ad clicks (kept for at most 30 days) and when ads were last shown (see section 5.3).
Templates and fonts are part of the app. None of the above is sent to us.
5. Network activity
5.1 Advertising
QST Office is free and is funded by advertising from Google AdMob: a banner and sponsored cards on the library screens, an occasional full-screen ad after you close a document or return to the app after a long time away, and optional videos you can choose to watch to earn reward points. A video is never shown unless you tap to watch it, and no ad is shown while you are editing. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect device and advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from it, and similar technical information. This collection is performed by Google under its own policies: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. Google never has access to your documents.
5.2 Your advertising consent
Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), QST Office asks for your consent using Google's consent tool the first time you use the app. You can change your choice at any time from Settings → Ad privacy choices, which appears wherever that choice applies to you. You can also reset or delete your device's advertising ID in your Android settings.
5.3 Ad safety
To prevent accidental or repeated ad clicks, the app keeps on your device the times of recent ad clicks and may pause ads on the device for a while after several clicks. To decide whether ads can be offered at all, it checks, on the device, the country of your SIM card or mobile network and your time zone, because ads are not available in some regions. It also checks whether the device is online, to explain why a video may not be available. None of this is sent to us or to anyone else.
5.4 Camera, photos and links
Take photo and the document scanner open your phone's camera app, which hands the photo back; the photo is used only for your document, and scan processing happens on the device. A picture from your gallery is read only when you pick it. Links you open in a document or in the app open in your browser, under its own privacy policy.
6. Legal bases for processing (EEA and UK)
We do not process personal data through the app. Advertising data is processed by Google on the basis of your consent where consent is required, and otherwise on the basis of legitimate interests, as described in Google's policies.
7. International data transfers
We transfer no personal data. Google may process advertising data in countries other than yours, under its own safeguards.
8. Your privacy rights
8.1 EEA and UK
You have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict and object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. Because we hold no personal data from the app, requests about advertising data are best made to Google; you can withdraw ad consent in Settings → Ad privacy choices.
8.2 United States
We do not sell or share personal information. To limit ad personalisation, use your device's advertising settings.
8.3 India (Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023)
We do not collect your personal data through the app. For any request or grievance, contact us at the address in section 13; we will respond within the time the law requires.
8.4 Other regions
Wherever you live, you can contact us with any privacy question and we will help as far as we can.
8.5 How to exercise your rights
Email admin@qubitsoftech.com. We may need to ask a question to understand your request; we will never ask for your documents.
9. Permissions
QST Office asks for no runtime permissions. It declares internet and network-state access for advertising only; every part of the app that touches your documents works without them. Files are read only when you pick them or when another app hands one over with "Open with".
10. Children's privacy
QST Office is a general-purpose productivity app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and we will delete it.
11. How to delete your data
Delete any document from Files at any time. Uninstalling QST Office removes everything it stored on your device: documents left in its private storage, recovery copies, settings, points and ad-safety counters. We hold no copy, so we cannot restore it. Emails you sent us can be deleted on request.
12. Data retention and security
Data stays on your device for as long as you keep the app, and is protected by Android's app sandbox. Ad-click times are kept for at most 30 days. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to help you.
