These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and QubitSofTech, a software development company based in India ("we", "us"), covering your use of the Android app Resume & CV Builder ("the app"). By downloading, installing or using the app you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app and uninstall it.
The same Terms are shown, word for word, inside the app under Settings → Terms of Use. Your use of the app is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service.
We grant you a personal, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on Android devices you own or control, for creating and managing your own career documents and those of people who have asked you to help them. The app is licensed, not sold. We keep all rights not expressly granted to you.
You may not, except where the law expressly permits it:
You own everything you create in the app — your resumes, CVs, cover letters, your Master Profile and everything you enter. We claim no rights to it and never receive it: it is stored on your device, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Documents you export from the app, including their layout from our templates, are yours to use for your own job applications, portfolios and career purposes, in print and online, without attribution.
Because your content is stored only on your device, you are responsible for keeping your own backups. We cannot recover content that is lost when a device is lost, reset or damaged, or when the app is uninstalled or its data is cleared.
You must not use the app to create, change or send any document that:
You are solely responsible for the content of every document you create with the app and for how you use it. The app runs entirely on your device, so we never see a document and cannot review, check or correct one. We have no knowledge of, and accept no responsibility for, what you write or where you send it.
To the extent the law allows, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless QubitSofTech from any claim, loss, liability or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from content you created with the app, your breach of these Terms, or your breach of any law or of anyone else's rights.
If you breach this section, your licence under these Terms ends automatically and immediately, without notice.
The app's ATS guidance and scores, job-match scores, keyword suggestions, writing tools, cover-letter drafts and any on-device or cloud AI output are automated aids. In particular:
None of this is professional career, legal or immigration advice, and none of it guarantees an interview, a job or any other outcome. Review and correct everything before you use it, and only include skills and experience that are true.
Cloud AI is off by default. If you switch it on, you choose the provider, you supply your own API key, and your text is sent from your device directly to that provider. Your use of that provider is governed by its own terms and privacy policy, and any charges it makes for your API key are your responsibility. We do not control, endorse or accept responsibility for any cloud AI provider or its output.
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required to use online services in your country if that is higher, to use the app. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you may buy Premium only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf.
The app is free to use with the limits shown in the app. Premium is an optional subscription that currently unlocks premium templates, advanced customisation, detailed ATS guidance, unlimited job matching, advanced AI writing tools, personal website export, unlimited saved versions, unlimited editing without points, and an ad-free experience. The current list, and the limits of the free version, are always shown on the Premium screen in the app before you buy.
In the free version, editing uses points. You receive 20 welcome points, and you can earn 10 points each time you watch a rewarded video ad to the end. Spending 10 points unlocks 30 minutes of editing. The number of rewarded videos you can watch is limited, and your allowance refills over time, as shown in the app. Reading, previewing and exporting your documents never costs points. Premium users do not need points.
Points are a feature of the app, not currency. They have no cash or monetary value, cannot be bought, sold, transferred or exchanged, and are not property. Points are stored only on your device and are lost if you uninstall the app or clear its data. We may change how points are earned or used, or end the points system, at any time; if we do, any editing time you have already unlocked will be honoured.
Rewarded ads come from Google AdMob, and their availability is not guaranteed — an ad may not be available in your region, at a given time, or without an internet connection. You earn points only for an ad you watch to the end, as confirmed by AdMob.
The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob, as described in the Privacy Policy. Ads are provided by third parties; we do not control and are not responsible for their content, or for the products, services or websites they link to. Any dealings you have with an advertiser are solely between you and that advertiser.
Reading, previewing and exporting your documents work without an internet connection. Creating, editing and importing documents, earning points and buying or confirming Premium need a connection. You are responsible for any data charges from your mobile provider.
The app, its design, code, templates, graphics, text and trademarks, including the names "Resume & CV Builder" and "QubitSofTech", belong to QubitSofTech or its licensors and are protected by law. Except for the rights granted to you in sections 1 and 3, nothing in these Terms gives you any right to them. The app includes open-source components, which are licensed under their own terms.
Names of other companies and products that may appear in the app, in sample documents or in these Terms belong to their owners, and their appearance does not imply any endorsement.
The app relies on services provided by others — Google Play, Google Play Billing, Google AdMob and its User Messaging Platform, Google ML Kit and Android's AICore service, the file and storage apps you choose (such as Google Drive), and any cloud AI provider you configure. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for them, and their availability may change without notice.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free or compatible with every device, that exported files will display identically in every program, or that any document will be accepted by any employer, institution or applicant tracking system.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, QubitSofTech will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, content, employment, opportunity, profits or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the app — even if we were advised of the possibility.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for Premium in the 12 months before the claim arose, or INR 1,000 if you paid nothing.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer under the laws of the country where you live.
We may update the app from time to time — to add, change or remove features, fix problems or meet legal and platform requirements. Some updates may be required to keep using the app. We may also stop offering the app, in whole or in part, at any time. If we stop offering Premium, we will not charge you again, and cancellation and refunds will follow Google Play's rules.
We may change these Terms. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top and publish the new version at the same address, and the copy inside the app will be updated with the app release that changes it. Material changes will also be noted in the app's Google Play release notes. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the app and uninstall it.
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it; remember to cancel any Premium subscription in Google Play as well. Your licence ends automatically if you breach these Terms. When it ends, you must stop using the app and delete it. Sections 3, 4, 5 and 9.2 and sections 11 to 18 survive termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts at East Champaran, Bihar, India — where QubitSofTech is registered — have jurisdiction over disputes arising from them. If you are a consumer living outside India, this does not take away the protection of mandatory laws of your country, or your right to bring a claim in your local courts where that law allows.
Before starting any formal proceedings, please contact us first at the address in section 18 — most problems can be solved quickly that way.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about the app. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. If we do not enforce a right, that is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours to a successor that continues to provide the app. These Terms are written in English; any translation is for convenience only.
